QCA Unit 10 gen...well what can I say … “Visiting a museum, gallery or site”! It is worth noting that Honeywood has, apart from the museum objects, an art gallery which generally displays the works of local artists past and sometimes, present. If you would like to bring a school group why not phone and have a chat with us. You may prefer to enjoy the museum at your leisure, but we may be able to put together a more structured visit for you. Entry requirements and information is as follows. 1) All work submitted must be no larger than A3 2) Work may be in any chosen paint medium, coloured pencil, pastel, crayon, or pencil/charcoal 3) Sculptures may not be submitted (if you would be interested in a sculpture category for future competitions please let us know) 4) All work must have the entrants Name, Age and a contact number clearly printed on the back 5) The competition will be judged in three age brackets 4yrs – 7yrs, 8yrs – 11yrs, 12yrs – 18yrs. 6) The competition will be judged by the staff of Honeywood and by local artist John Stillman, who last year had work exhibited at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. 7) Prizes will be awarded on Sunday 25th of May as part of the Carshalton Arts Weekend. 8) Winner’s work will be displayed at Honeywood from Sat 24th of May to Sunday 8th June 9) Non-winners may collect their work between Wednesday 28th May and Sunday 29th June during Honeywood’s normal opening hours. 10) Winners may collect their work between Wednesday 11th of June and Sunday 29th June during Honeywood’s normal opening hours. 11) Final date for entry is Sunday 11th May 2008 12) Winners will be notified during the week beginning 19th May. Prizes will be awarded at the Carshalton Arts Day on Sunday 25th May at Honeywood Heritage Centre, Honeywood Walk Carshalton, SM5 3NX.
