YOUNG PERSONS ART COMPETITION 2010
Part of the Carshalton Arts Weekend 29th, 30th and 31st May

The Competition is now closed for entries

The theme for 2010 is “Colour”

All work should be submitted with a short explanation of what inspired the piece work. This may be as simple as “my favourite colour is yellow because it’s the colour of the sun” for the youngest entrants to a more in-depth explanation of use of colour and/or style by the older entrants. 

Work may be sent through the post or may be hand delivered to the museum during our normal opening times:

Honeywood Museum
Honeywood Walk
Carshalton
SM5 3NX

Wednesday to Friday 11am - 5pm
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday 10am to 5pm

Entry requirements as follows:

1)
    All work submitted must be no larger than A3

2)
    Work may be in any chosen paint medium, coloured pencil, crayon, pencil/charcoal or collage or may be photographic (photographs will be judged separately)

3)
    Sculptures may not be submitted (if you would be interested in a sculpture category for future competitions please let us know)

4)
    All work must have the entrants Name, Age and a contact number clearly printed on the back

5)
    Final date for entry is Sunday16th May 2010

6)    Winners will be notified during the week beginning Mon 24th May. Prizes will be awarded on Sunday 30th May as part of the Carshalton Arts Weekend at Honeywood Museum, Honeywood Walk, Carshalton SM5 3NX. Tel 020 8770 4297. Winners work will be displayed at Honeywood from Saturday 29th May until Sunday 13th June 2010

7)
    Work will be judged in three age groups: 4-7 years, 8-11 years, 12-18 years

All work remaining uncollected by 27th June 2010 becomes the property of the museum
and may be destroyed or used by the museum as it sees fit.
