Excavation at Honeywood
Carshalton & District History & Archaeology Society

Day 11 - Saturday 31st July 2010


Work has continued on trench B but progress has been slow as there have been a series of changes from one layer to another which has caused frequent stops for recording. A layer of gravel has appeared in the bottom of the trench. This may be the bed of a water course but we have not excavated it so can’t yet be certain.

Work continues tomorrow.
