Honeywood Museum
Activities
Children, pretend you are on “Time Team” by digging up the past in our
archaeology boxes. Take the archaeologist’s challenge and piece together
an object, plus other archaeological activities
Drop in crafts throughout the weekend including make funky frogs, racing
fish, model paper mills, exotic fish, printing on fabric, painting by
the ponds, trails and more!
10am-5pm
All Saints Church, High St, Carshalton
Open with displays of flowers and vestments. This is an opportunity to
visit the bell tower and organ gallery as well as learn more about the
history of the church. Also bell ringing, hand bell ringing Saturday
morning. Refreshments will be available

Open day at Spencer Road Wetland
With members of the Sutton Group of the London Wildlife Trust

Papermaking Workshop
A drop in activity led by archaeologist Sarah Dhanjal. Paper making was
a major Wandle industry from the late 18th century well into the 20th
century

Carshalton Park Grotto
An opportunity to see the 18th century garden building with Andrew
Skelton. Some decorative material will be viewable. Ruskin Road

Upper Mill, Grove Park, Carshalton
John Phillips, Heritage Projects Manager, will talk about the history of
the mill

Carew Manor, Dovecote, off Church Road, Beddington
The 18th century octagonal brick dovecote with its original potence
(circular ladder), and 1200 nesting boxes will be open to view

Unique Grade 2 listed early 18th century garden building sited in the
grounds of Carshalton House.
